Title
Blowing It

Author
Gayle Kendall

I have been writing since I was ten years old when I wrote, cast, directed and held my first play in my back yard. More relevantly and timely, I have been writing and producing independent theater for the past 15 years. I started with directed staged readings at small venues in The Village and have decided, of late, to form my own creative collective, whereby the convergence of my business skills, my writing craft, my contacts and relationships and my love of the theater will serve me well as I promote my writing and the value of the theater to NYC and its surrounding burroughs and states.

Synopsis
Grace Jennings is a well-meaning, intelligent, attractive junior executive. She is also impatient. With great enthusiasm and seeming self-confidence, Grace marches herself into the CEO's office one day, to (1) tell him that she doesn't want to be OLD before she can enjoy success and that (2) she is willing to make it worth his while if he will consider her proposal of making her a high-ranking corporate executive immediately.

Intrigued, her CEO allows her to make her pitch, only to be shocked at her ultimate "deal maker," the offer to receive oral sex up to two times a week for the next two years. The CEO agrees - Grace gets her promotion and then ... she learns a bit about what compromise really means. This is a non-preachy, serio-comic take on one woman's desire to play ball like a man and what she learns from her choice. View extract.
