Synopsis
Pete, the budding Sociologist, says life is "a series of ultimate decisions through which the soul decides the meaning of its own existence". But what decisions do he and Sue make that decide the meaning of their existence? And will Sue ever get to the fair tomorrow for those ideas she needs for her dress-designing project? Above all, perhaps, will Sue ever score with Stan-from-the-market? That she wants to is obvious; but then Pete had nipped off to the boozer with Kevin, hadn’t he? Added to that Stan and Kevin couldn’t get the large antique bed-with-the-big-brass-knobs-on up the stairs, leaving Pete and Sue to continue working out their salvation as best they can on their smelly old mattress-on-the-floor.
