Mark has worked in theatres from Moscow to Minneapolis as a director, actor and scenic artist. He is currently a freelance translator living in France and the author of six plays that have had public readings or full productions in the Paris area. The Nose was produced by Le Théâtre Tourtour in 1995 and marked the beginning of his playwriting career.
Synopsis
A certain Lord has returned to his native land where his Western lifestyle is not very well appreciated. In the face of death threats, he decides to throw a dinner party. His kitchen staff tells the story of Don Juan, mixing GIA with passion while they cook and serve the meal, using the elements in the kitchen to act out the tale. This play within a play ultimately unmasks the traitor that is amongst them, but not before justice is served and blood is shed. View extract.
