Lohrey's Jigsaw Confession was ranked in the Top 100 by the New Century Writers' Competition in 1998. Betterland was a finalist for the Riverside Stage Company's Founder's Award, and won 2nd Prize at this year's Harvest Festival of New Plays at the Sonoma County Rep, in Santa Rosa, Ca. Betterland was produced by ARTGroup at the Creative Place Theatre, NYC. Skinless and Boneless, awarded third prize in the 1998 Writers' Digest Writing Competition, and was a finalist at the Generic Theater Company's Dog Days Festival. His new play Nutrition and Lunch won Honorable Mention at the 1999 Writer's Digest Writing Competition. David's first screenplay, Bluff City, was a finalist in the 2000 Writer's digest Competition. It received a staged-reading at First Stage in Hollywood. He has been member of the Dramatists Guild since 1982, and reviews for Curtainup.com in New York.

Synopsis
Following the death of his father, a son tries to understand what happened to his family: the break-up of his parents' marriage, his mother's premature death, and most inexplicably the arrival of a young man into his father's life. View extract.
